At Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, towering 180 m (600 ft.) sea cliffs rise from the Bay of Fundy, while the world's highest tides lap at their base. Best described as a wilderness park, it has 29 km (18 mi.) of pristine coastline, beaches, sheltered coves, deep valleys, rare plants, and remnant old-growth forests. The park offers 52 km (32 mi.) of wilderness trails, 68 hike-in campsites (including 3 cabins and 1 bunkhouse), 28 walk-in campsites with picnic tables and firepits, day-use trails with raised lookoff platforms (Eatonville), and a picnic area. Fires are not permitted at the hike-in campsites however are permitted at the New Yarmouth walk-in campsites within the firepits and within the cabin and bunkhouse wood stoves.
