Located near the old Shunda Ranger Station, off Highway 11, 5 kilometres down a gravel access road, Shunda Viewpoint Provincial Recreation Area provides a panoramic view of the Brazeau Range and North Saskatchewan River Valley. This park is only open for reservation holders at the group use area, which has room for 15 units. Campers can enjoy the view of the valleys from two benches. In September, enjoy the beautiful fall colors all along the David Thompson Highway . There are OHV trails offsite which join the Nordegg Rail Trail and the Taunton Bridge outside Saunders Provincial Recreation Area .
