what to expect

A secluded getaway on the east side of Buck Lake, Calhoun Bay Provincial Recreation Area is a great spot to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Experience camping off the beaten track with a few added amenities and take advantage of this popular fishing lake and campground with sites large enough to accommodate most RVs and trailers. Visitors can take advantage of the hand launch for canoes or kayaks, as well as the open areas along the shore that are perfect for casting. When visiting this recreation area, be sure to bring firewood and drinking water, as the water from the pumps is not potable, and there are no firewood sales on site.
